On a beautiful day in June, Brandi and Matt said “I do!” at The Griffin House in Hood River, Oregon. It was a timeless event inspired by art with a classic color palette and design elements. Inspired by a natural and whimsical garden, this design was breathtaking. Touches of blue and luscious greens complemented by soft lilac and vibrant purple flowers elevated this botanical garden style wedding day.

With incredible attention to detail, we brought Brandi and Matt’s wedding day vision to life alongside some talented wedding vendors in Oregon. We were thrilled to celebrate these sweethearts, and cannot wait to share their lovely art-inspired wedding day!

Design Inspired by Art

Brandi and Matt’s wedding design was inspired by modern art. Wildflower Portland did an incredible job communicating our couple’s vision through floral design. With a ceremony overlooking the Gorge, it felt like we were in a classic English greenhouse with tall botanical-style floral, lush, fluffy greenery, and pops of color that provided a timeless backdrop for Brandi and Matt to say I do. 

In the reception tent, the floral design leaned to the modern side of Brandi and Matt’s style, perfectly matching their wedding attire. Structural floral design in contemporary vases complemented the space with an elegant and clean touch. The timeless florals worked beautifully with the modern accents and decor pieces we brought in from our sister company, Details Department.

One of our favorite details was how the whimsical garden design was brought in just slightly from the ceremony. Wildflower Portland framed Brandi and Matt’s sweetheart table with the same floral style as the ceremony. This style was lightly incorporated throughout the entire reception through lush urns near a lounge space and whimsical bar arrangements. This wedding day design was timeless, elegant, and truly a work of art that worked beautifully at The Griffin House.

Meet Brandi and Matt

We spent time getting to know Brandi and Matt before their intimate garden style wedding at The Griffin House in Hood River, Oregon. Forming a solid relationship with our couples builds trust and inspires us to make sure every last one of their wedding day dreams comes true. Through meetings and collaboration, we create a special relationship with our clients, and weddings like Brandi and Matt’s reflect how much that additional quality time pays off.

These sweethearts had the best style and knew how to have a great time! When getting ready in the morning, the girls looked out on the iconic Columbia River Gorge and reflected on fond memories while anxiously awaiting the big moment. Our bride was so excited the entire day, but when opening a gift from her husband-to-be, she couldn’t stop beaming! The groom had some help putting on his tie and was smiling when reading a heartfelt note from his future wife.

After sharing the sweetest first look, Brandi and Matt continued with the day, admiring the beautiful design and posing for photos with family and friends. Their intimate, sweet, and romantic ceremony resulted in many happy tears, laughter, and celebration with their favorite people overlooking the Gorge. Before whisking the two newlyweds off for some golden hour photos, they prioritized sharing a toast with their favorite people to kick off cocktail hour. Brandi and Matt wanted their intimate wedding day to focus on their beautiful relationships with everyone in attendance. This toast was a gentle way to remind their people how much they adore them, and value the time they spend together at The Griffin House.

Golden Hour Memories

After some bubbles, Brandi and Matt headed off to the cliffside overlooking the Gorge for dreamy golden hour photos while friends and family enjoyed cocktail hour and nibbled on delicious gourmet charcuterie. Their dinner and reception were a true celebration, and overall their wedding day was full of romance, elegance, and fun.

Weddings in Hood River, Oregon, are so special. When the Pacific Northwest weather chooses to show off (as it did on Brandi and Matt’s day), it results in a day we will never forget. This wedding was a work of art; from a gorgeous sunset to an epic party, this timeless day at The Griffin House stole our hearts.
